Calculating the Hawking Temperature in a Variant of the Near Horizon Metric

Authors: Tristan Anthony Dobrian

A modied version of the near horizon metric is introduced, that puts the near horizon metric in the same form as one of the most commonly-used metric variants of Rindler space. The metric is then used to calculate the Hawking temperature, using the WKB tunneling approximation.
