We explore the Giant Impact Hypothesis and the potential possibility that the Earth's Moon is a captured, former satellite of Venus, a planet similar to Earth in many traits. While the strikingly similar isotope ratios between the Earth and Moon may rule out this possibility, the geological similarities between the Earth and Venus do not.
