“Shut The Front Door!”: Obviating the Challenge of Large-Scale Extra Dimensions and Psychophysical Bridging

Physics has been slowly and reluctantly beginning to address the role and fundamental basis of the ‘observer’ which has until now also been considered metaphysical and beyond the mandate empirical rigor. It is suggested that the fundamental premise of the currently dominant view of ‘Cognitive Theory’ - “Mind Equals Brain” is erroneous; and the associated belief that the ‘Planck scale, ‘the so-called basement level of reality’, as an appropriate arena from which to model psycho-physical bridging is also in error. In this paper we delineate a simple, inexpensive experimental design to ‘crack the so-called cosmic egg’ thereby opening the door to largescale extra dimensions (LSXD) tantamount to the regime of the unified field and thus awareness. The methodology surmounts the quantum uncertainty principle in a manner violating Quantum Electrodynamics, (QED), a cornerstone of modern theoretical physics, by spectrographic analysis of newly theorized Tight-Bound State (TBS) Bohr orbits in ‘continuous-state’ transition frequencies of atomic hydrogen. If one wonders why QED violation in the spectra of atomic hydrogen relates to solving the mind-body (observer) problem; consider this a 1st wrench in a forthcoming tool box of Unified Field Mechanics, UF that will soon enough in retrospect cause the current tools of Classical and Quantum Mechanics to appear as stone axes. Max Planck is credited as the founder of quantum mechanics with his 1900 quantum hypothesis that energy is radiated and absorbed discretely by the formulation, E = hv. Empirically implementing this next paradigm shift utilizing parameters of the long sought associated ‘new physics’ of the 3rd regime (classicalquantum-unified) allows access to LSXD of space; thus pragmatically opening the domain of mental action for the 1st time in history. This rendering constitutes a massive paradigm shift to Unified Field Theory creating a challenge for both the writer and the reader!

Generally unicellular prokaryotes are considered the most fundamental form of living system. Many researchers include viruses since they commandeer cellular machinery in their replication; while others insist viruses are merely complex infective proteins. New biological principles are introduced suggesting that even the prion, the infectious protein responsible for transmissible spongiform encephalopathies, qualifies as the most fundamental form of life; and remains in general concordance with the six-point definition of living systems put forth by Humberto Maturana and his colleagues in their original characterization of living organisms as a class of complex self-organized autopoietic systems in 1974.

Elucidating the Trigger of Alzheimer's Disease: A Complex Anticipatory Systems Approach

Recent discovery of ADDL protein (Amyloid β-Derived Diffusible Ligand) allows the trigger mechanism causing Alzheimer’s Disease (AD) to be described by principles of complex systems theory. This entails a teleological cosmology with inherent self-organized / anticipatory parameters introducing a life principle (élan vital) providing the action driving self-organization in autopoietic living systems. Interaction between this Noetic Field (élan vital) and brain is defined in terms of a Hamiltonian-Lagrange operator called the Noetic Effect. If mind/body interactions mediating this Noetic Effect drive the system away from equilibrium catastrophes causing protein misfolds may trigger the onset of AD. The discovery of ADDL also promises an AD vaccine.

Genetic Phase Angle Distance (GPAD)

It is hypothesized that a mathematical mapping of the biochemical properties of genetic nucleotides into a three dimensional vector space will yield a novel and meaningful evolutionary distance measure. The nucleotides A,T,C,G are mapped into a complex vector space according to three biochemical properties: amino/keto, purine/pyrimidine, weak/strong. This mapping is represented in Mathematica. A weighted linear combination of these base-vector triplets results in a "Tetrahedral Genetic Code" (TGC), where all 64 codons map to 64 unique vector positions in the space. Phase distance θ is measured as the angle between sequentially neighboring codon vectors, and a sequence of codons can be measured as the total path length in radians of the vector as it traverses the TGC. Angular difference Δθ is computed as the absolute value of the difference in phase θ between sequences under investigation, at homologous (aligned) genetic loci. The Genetic Phase Angle Distance (GPAD) is computed as the normalized mean Δθ over the full aligned genetic sequences for any two species. The GPAD distance measure is computed on a sample sequence matrix for 11 different species and compared side by side to the Tamura 3-parameter distance computed on that same species matrix.
