Brain Organoids in Neurological Research

Authors: George Rajna

Researchers from Harvard University and the Broad Institute’s Stanley Centre for Psychiatric Research have developed reproducible brain organoids for the first time. [23] Researchers at the University of Twente have designed a tiny needle in which micro-channels can be used for extracting small liquid samples from a local area of the brain. [22] The ability to grow large protein crystals is the single biggest bottleneck that limits the use of neutron protein crystallography in structural biology. [21] The conclusion that proteins have a terrible conductance tallies well with their general physical characteristics – they lack both electronic conduction bands and high levels of structural order. Executive Disorders Are Symptoms of Being Coerced

Authors: Johan Nygren

Executive disorders diagnosed by psychiatry are caused by the agency of a person being overruled by an external agency, using monopoly on violence. The attenuation of executive function is a result of coercion through external legal forces and physical violence (including threat of violence. ) Physical removal of the coercive entity leads to increased executive control, alleviating all symptoms, curing the executive disorder.

First Record of Pallenopsis Fluminensis (Krøyer, 1844) (Pycnogonida: Pallenopsidae) for the Coast of the State of Paraíba (Northeastern Brazil)

Authors: Rudá Amorim Lucena, Silvio Felipe B. Lima, Martin Lindsey Christoffersen
Comments: 8 Pages.

A pycnogonid species classified in the family Pallenopsidae Fry, 1978 and the genus Pallenopsis Wilson, 1881 is recorded in this study for the coast of the state of Paraíba in northeastern Brazil based on the identification of three female specimens collected from the infralittoral zone at depths of 12 to 34 meters. Pallenopsis fluminensis (Krøyer, 1844) is the fourth species of Pycnogonida recorded for the region. To date, only Anoplodactylus batangensis (Helfer, 1938), A. eroticus Stock, 1968 and A. mirim Lucena, Araújo & Christoffersen, 2015 have been recorded for the coast of the state of Paraíba. Pallenopsis fluminensis is diagnosed by a trunk with small setae on the distal border of each segment; proboscis with terminal setae; lateral processes with small setae; palps without setae and reduced to a small knob; chela with many setae, palm 1.5 times longer than wide; ovigers with eight articles on females, articles 5 and 6 subequal and article 8 not much smaller than 7; and tibia 1 without dense cover of the setae. To date, P. fluminensis is the only congener from the Atlantic coast of South America without a dense cover of setae on tibia 1.

Comments: 63 Pages.

A Case of Autistic Spectrum Disorder in Which Benzodiazepines Are Effective in Childhood Onset Fluency Disorder

Authors: Toshiro Takami

We experienced cases in which benzodiazepines were successful in childhood onset stuttering disorder. The case was autistic spectrum disorder, and there was a dull articulation while being milder than childhood. Immediately before the high school days ended, cases complicated of social anxiety disorder. Since we visited our hospital, we have prescribed large quantities of benzodiazepines. As in this case, there is a possibility that there are potentially many cases in which benzodiazepines are strongly effective against childhood onset fluency disorder. This implies childhood onset stuttering disorder is unknown partial epilepsy starting from the basal ganglia with no abnormality in brain waves. It is also possible that there may be childhood onset flu-dysfunction as psychogenic nonepileptic seizure.
