The Relation Between Co2, Global Temperature and World Population

The present study reveals an almost two centuries lasting and surprisingly strong relation between the total world population and the CO2-concentration in the atmosphere: an increase of 1 billion people has always led to an increase of 20 ppm CO2 and, resulting from that, an increase of 0.135 °C of the long-term global temperature. The study also reveals a surprisingly precise sinusoidal variation of the global temperature, superimposed on the long-term trend. This yet mysterious phenomenon explains why the global temperature didn’t increase anymore over the last 10 years, notwithstanding the steadily increasing CO2-concentration. The scientific results obtained here have been translated into a political message.
