Recent advances in fluorescence microscopy allow researchers to study biological processes below the classical diffraction limit of light.  Scientists at the U.S. Department of Energy's Ames Laboratory are now able to see greater details of DNA origami nanostructures, which will lead to a greater understanding and control of their assembly for future applications.  Nanocages are highly interesting molecular constructs, from the point of view of both fundamental science and possible applications.
