Graphene plates in the composites can be located both at the boundaries of ceramic grains and inside grains.  A team of researchers from the U.K., China and Spain has found that graphene exhibits mechanical properties that are similar to those of graphite.  The team has turned graphene oxide (GO) into a soft, moldable and kneadable play dough that can be shaped and reshaped into free-standing, three-dimensional structures.  A team of researchers based at The University of Manchester have found a low cost method for producing graphene printed electronics, which significantly speeds up and reduces the cost of conductive graphene inks.
