An international research team has used nanoparticles to convert carbon dioxide into valuable raw materials. Scientists at Ruhr-Universität Bochum in Germany and the University of New South Wales in Australia have adopted the principle from enzymes that produce complex molecules in multi-step reactions.  Graphene plates in the composites can be located both at the boundaries of ceramic grains and inside grains.  A team of researchers from the U.K., China and Spain has found that graphene exhibits mechanical properties that are similar to those of graphite.
