Researchers at the University of Wisconsin-Madison have addressed many of those problems by packing a gene-editing payload into a tiny customizable, synthetic nanocapsule.  Tiny extracts of a precious metal used widely in industry could play a vital role in new cancer therapies.  The researchers aim to develop an endoscope-compatible fibre-optic probe that combines diffuse reflectance spectroscopy and Raman spectroscopy.
