Authors: George Rajna
Scientists from Tomsk Polytechnic University together with colleagues proposed using special diffraction gratings with gold plates instead of microlenses used in the classic configuration to obtain images in nanoscopes. Physicists have developed a technique based on optical microscopy that can be used to create images of atoms on the nanoscale. Researchers have designed a new type of laser called a quantum dot ring laser that emits red, orange, and green light. The world of nanosensors may be physically small, but the demand is large and growing, with little sign of slowing.
