Jeanne Calment is said to have died at 122 years old in 1997, holding the record for the oldest validated person who ever lived. However doubts have been raised that in fact her daughter Yvonne may have made an identity switch in 1934. In this discussion document I look at what new evidence may be sought to settle the question of her authenticity. In particular I propose that a test for autozygosity in the DNA of Mme Calment would distinguish Jeanne from Yvonne.
