Authors: George Rajna
Scientists at the Department of Energy's Oak Ridge National Laboratory induced a two-dimensional material to cannibalize itself for atomic "building blocks" from which stable structures formed. This novel technology could be used to produce molecular junctions in a scalable fashion – allowing millions of them to be manufactured in parallel. Physicists at Friedrich-Alexander-Universität Erlangen-Nürnberg (FAU) have successfully generated controlled electron pulses in the attosecond range.
