Background Evolution from Modified Actions of Gravity from General Disformal Transformation

Authors: Saksith Jaksri

We study theory of modified gravity, namely disformal gravity, which is con- structed from disformal metric. We derive the action for disformal gravity from general purely disformal transformation. Then we find the equations of motion for the back- ground universe and find that the disformal gravity does not provide the kinetic driven for cosmic acceleration as usually expected from Galilean-like theories.
