This article discusses the theory formulated by the Polish physicist Theodor Kaluza in 1919. In this theory, it generalized Kaluza's equations of general relativity four spatial dimensions (rather than the three we know), obtaining results in the symmetry associated with freedom of movement He allowed the new dimension caused the existence of a force field like the electromagnetic, thus unifying the gravitational fields and electromagnetic. This theory, later improved by the Swedish mathematician Oskar Klein, had a serious defect that ultimately was the cause of it fell into oblivion, and it was it lacked an explanation of the origin of that extra dimension as well and the fact that we can not see or feel it. In this article, through the formulation of the Theory of Fluctuations Spontaneous, I try to give an explanation of the genesis of this dimension, and see how this new dimension, hitherto neglected, is essential to unify and understand concepts such as the origin of mass, electric charge, acceleration, expansion of the universe, energy dark, the unification of the four fundamental forces, etc.
