Long-term spectrograms show that after strong earthquakes, the frequency of the 0S0 resonance of the earth varies with no apparent regularity. This also applies to the structure and the location of the sidebands. Measurements with the zero beat method show a frequency modulation of unknown cause, which can hardly be detected by FFT.
