We examined the variations of space and time that occur under the influence of a gravitational field produced by a mass M, following the Foundations of General Relativity, by Einstein (1916). We conclude that when we use the conventional units for the speed of light resulting values are very different from those obtained by adopting the speed of light equal to 1, and that certainly could not be in agreement with the experimental values. The shortening of the rulers (scales) and slowness of the clocks would be much higher, because would no longer divided by the square of the speed of light.
