This work addresses generally the problem of municipal solid waste and selective collection in Viçosa-MG in a context of the National Policy on Solid Waste. The main goal is to analyze the spatial distribution of VDPs (Voluntary Delivery Points), also known as Ecopoints. Are places where the population moves to allocate those recyclables. For it was used Geoprocessing tools and field observations. The results show that where social mobilization was performed regarding the selective collection, showed better indices of usability of VDPs. Also showed that the spatial analysis are critical in urban planning, especially in solid waste management.
