The "Minha Casa, Minha Vida" (MCMV), launched in 2009, is now the main program of the Federal Government to tackle the country's housing deficit. To pay attention to the figure of the beneficiaries, it is noted that the target audience of the programs rarely participate in the evaluation process. In this sense, the study aimed to evaluate the perception of families benefited from the program, in a new development located in Viçosa (MG), in three areas: Housing Unit, Enterprise and Surrounding Areas. Data were analyzed from the Descriptive Statistics, Cronbach's Alpha, the KolmogorovSmirnov (KS) and the Student t test. Thus, the results showed that the evaluation of the perception of the beneficiaries is figured as an important performance measure of MCMV, since in considering the opinion of those who really enjoy the products delivered by the intervention is possible to incorporate citizen participation and be closer to the reality lived in the projects.
